A New Chapter. The Same Mission.
For five years, SALT Movement has worked to equip leaders, mobilize people, and inspire communities to live with purpose and make a lasting difference.
As we reflected on the journey and looked toward the future, one conviction became increasingly clear: the work that began through SALT could be strengthened, sustained, and multiplied through the local church.
Beginning in 2025, SALT's leadership entered a season of prayer, reflection, and discernment about the next chapter of the movement. In 2026, that journey led to the decision to plant Ukrainian Church DC (UCDC).
“One season prepares the way for another. SALT laid the foundation; Ukrainian Church DC is called to build upon it and carry the mission forward.”
UCDC will carry forward the mission, relationships, and initiatives established through SALT, providing a lasting spiritual and organizational home for the work. The new church plant will build upon the foundation, develop new leaders, expand the reach, and create opportunities for future generations to participate.
We are grateful for everyone who has been part of the SALT journey and excited about what lies ahead. What began as a movement to equip and mobilize people will continue to grow through a community rooted in faith, committed to developing leaders, and dedicated to serving others.
